So that lease I posted about a few weeks ago about a little girl getting My gelding for xmas? Well that fell through, they ended up getting her a horse that she could grow into.

But today, I moved Mr B to this wonderful woman's farm. They have a bunch of big horses already, but nothing that her little girl can ride with much confidence.

My sister is looking into starting her 7 year old daughter into horseback riding lessons after Christmas, and after searching her area she found one that has a children's beginner program.  The first thing the 'trainer' told my sister was that she didn't have to spend the money on the expensive riding equipment, she could just use a bike helmet. I have a girl in my 4H club who is a small teenager. She's a first year novice hunter rider, and she rode western for two years before that. She does not own a horse, but has leased three different horses from two different programs. For my riding instructor's class I'm required to do a series of lessons outside of class, and in a portfolio include my lesson plan, pics of the lesson and my write up about how I thought it went.
